Jingle Bells!

Charlotte, Mia, Abigail, respectively.
All decked out in their little christmas outfits. haha sooo cute!
Charlotte is on the left. Abigail is in the middle holding Mia's hand on the right.
Baby Abigail with drool everywhere.
Charlotte being patient as always.
Sweet little Mia trying to get that thumb in her mouth.

Christmas is here!

I was trying to take the girls' pictures and of course I couldnt get three babies to look at me all at the same time... so I videoed it. haha

This one is for my dad mainly.

Here are the girls just waking up. I am usually greeted with big smiles and stretches. So cute. I love watching them wake up and play with each other.

4 month pics

Here are just a few pictures of the girls' from their 4 month photos. They turned out so great! Thanks Amy! You rock. And come on... THOSE GIRLS ARE SO FREAKING PRECIOUS!

Charlotte is in the light blue head band.

Abigail is in the dark blue head band.

Mia is in the pink head band.

3 adorable peas in a great big pod! haha

Catching up....

Above: me as a baby. See my children DO look like me!
Another pic of me and my mom. Isn't she gorgeous!
A days worth of diapers for triplets. (About 20.)
A days worth of bottles for triplets. 4 feedings plus apple juice in the mornings, and cereal at night.
Waking up in the morning is better to do with someone you love! hehe

Its been a while since I last posted. I've been pretty darn busy with lots of stuff going on. Getting Christmas put up and wrapping TONS of presents, sending daddy packages to Af. I wanted to do a Christmas card this year but just ran out of time.... sorry everyone. So hopefully I will have a couple of new posts in the next coming days.

The girls are doing fabulous! We are starting to get rid of the binkies and getting ready to start solid foods in January. They are really enjoying the cereal they get every night too. Its so funny to watch them eat it. Mia cries in between every bite wanting it to get IN HER MOUTH much faster! haha No one is rolling over yet, and I feel a bit pressed for time on that. Mia and Abigail both want to and try really hard. Charlotte has NO interest in it at all but stands up much stronger than the other two. Abigail has mellowed out a lot lately (thankfully) but Charlotte is starting to teethe so the other two should follow soon. They LOVE to look at picture books and be read to. They love their Baby Einstein DVD I let them watch once or twice a day. They get so excited about it when they hear it come on. Their little personalities are just so fun to watch and observe. Its such a treat being their mom. They sleep pretty darn well these days, except for the occasional all nighter. We put them down between 9 and 930 and they sleep until about 7 or 8. This morning they slept till 815 but some mornings its 715. So just depends. They love looking at our Christmas tree and the bells we have hanging. They are just so darn cute. I have a few new videos I will post soon.

We sure miss my dad, especially this time of year. We sent him some goodies and Christmas presents though, so he wont feel left out so much. May just seems like a very long time away, thats when he comes home..... Miss you daddy...

I cant really think of much else but like I said more pictures and videos to come...

These are a couple of videos I took of Charlotte. They are so cute! Charlotte is trying SO hard to talk to us. She is just cooing up a storm, its adorable. I love it! Also, its so funny, she likes to pull up her shirt. haha or her bib or her blanket. Anything she can grab she will pull it up over her head. Anyway, it looks like she's trying to take off her clothes and I tried to get it on video. Not the best one but precious nonetheless!

Thanksgiving & Other Random Photos

These are just a couple of random photos I wanted to post and also a couple of Thanksgiving ones. I didn't take many because we had our hands full with babies. But my mom made such a beautiful spread for us. She really pulled through and got into the holiday spirit (or faked it). It was lovely. There was a huge empty spot, however, with my daddy not being here with us. We sure miss him a lot.

Wasn't the table so festive! Thank you mom!
Our beautiful spread of DELICIOUS food! Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, purple hull peas, brocolli and rice casserole, deviled eggs, rolls, gooey butter cake and pecan pie.... for just the three of us! haha
Charlotte and Mia holding hands.... so sweet!
Poppy and the twins the day before he left for Afghanistan. We love you daddy! And miss you so much!

Grandparents are the best kind of people

Mamaw Peg and Papa Skip have been here for 2-3 weeks at a time since August! They drive all the way from Texas to spend this time with the girls and help me take care of them. These are the most wonderful people you will ever meet. These girls are the luckiest little babies in the whole world.
My Papaw Tommy and Nana were in town for a business meeting about a month ago and stopped by for a few minutes to meet our girls. So glad they were able to do that!

Mamaw Peg with her "three angels." If she isn't cooking, she's cleaning. If she's not cleaning, she's working with these girls. Not a single person in the world like her. I love you!

It finally happened....

One of my daughter's peed on me. Yes, that is urine. I guess its my own fault for not changing her diaper BEFORE i feed her a bottle (I usually do it afterward). HA But just thought Id inform everyone Ive been "initiated" haha Thank you Sweet Charlotte!!

A lot has gone down in the last couple of days. First of all, my daddy left on Sunday for Afghanistan. He will be gone for 6 months. We were all pretty upset and luckily we had the grandparents here to help with the girls. Please pray for his safe trip and safe return! I will miss you daddy!

Also, the girls had their 4 month checkup yesterday. They are doing just perfect. They weigh 14.5, 14.5 and 14.1, with Mia being the smallest. So they are in the 90th percentile for weight for premie babies and 50th for full term! haha Everything else looked good too and he answered all my questions. We got to start them on cereal last night too. It was so funny. they were super hungry so those tiny bits of cereal just made them mad. They would cry and then I would put some in their mouths and they would sigh in relief and swallow then cry again for more. Sounded like a bag of cats in here! haha They all took the cereal really well. Charlotte wasn't sure about the taste though. She would scrunch her face up like she didn't like it. But she swallowed anyway, guess she was pretty hungry.

The girls slept until 800 the last couple of mornings I am SO happy to report! But since they had their shots yesterday they woke up about 7 this morning. I figured they would though. They had a mild fever last night but they seem to be much better this morning. I dont understand how its possible to love them more and more every single day..... Mom says that you love them more and more everyday until they are about 12 then it goes to less and less! HAHA (She's teasing, but has a point).

We also got Jared's jeep fixed up. Even put in a new clutch. Now we are replacing the windshield and then putting it up for sale (if anyone's interested!). Hopefully it will sell pretty quick and we can cash in on the end of the year car deals.

Its crazy to think this time last year I was pregnant. I didn't know it at the time but its still strange how fast time goes. It's already been a year and three kids later. Thats a pretty big year for me. Lots of new experiences and treasures. All in all, the best year of my life.

Videos as promised

Above is my sweet Mia. She was the first one of her sisters to reach out and play with a toy. I couldn't believe it. Isn't she so gorgeous!

Oh dear. Above is my sweet Abigail, throwing her fits. This girl has so much spirit. She is so funny. In the video she was so tired and we had the lights out which is why the picture isn't great. She was literally fighting sleep. Funny girl!

And here is my sweet Charlotte. I feel bad about "laughing" at her but her hair is something to be seen! Its much better now but back in this video.... hahaha just see for yourself! I love you Charlie!

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Girls, Cars and Afghanistan

The girls are doing so well these days. Im so proud of them. They are getting their pictures taken Thursday and Im so excited. I got them the cutest dresses to wear! They also have their 4 month doctors appointment on the 16th. Mia started actually reaching out and playing with toys last week. I got it on video too! Haha I haven't uploaded it yet though but when I do I will post it. They are talking up a storm too. Its so freakin' cute! They are also blowing bubbles and drooling a lot more these days..... yes teething is just around the corner. I was "alone" with them for the first time on Saturday! I was soo nervous! Jared left for work around 830 that morning and my parents went to Texas for the weekend. But help arrived around 1015 and then left around 1230. Then more help arrived around 2 and stayed until 730 or so. So I wasn't technically alone with them all day. They did so good though! They were just happy sweet girls. I was so relieved. I did realize that I cant feed them and take care of them by myself though. It does actually take one more person. Which is so sad to me. Do you know what it feels like to wake up everyday KNOWING you are not enough to take care of your kids? Its a feeling that can really get you down if you think on it long enough. Im afraid because of that reason I don't have much confidence in myself.

Anyway, Jared's wonderful Jeep's radiator blew this weekend and its leaking fluid. So its gonna cost about 1000 bucks to fix.... nice.... I hate that car. Always have. Anyway I think I will finally be rid of it very soon. We are thinking of selling it or trading it in and getting a Ford Edge. As long as it can fit all three car seats anyway. Which it should. My moms Nissan Murano can and its about the same size. We will look into more this week.

Also, my dad is loading up and heading to Afghanistan for six months. He is supposed to leave on Sunday but hasn't actually gotten his orders yet. I can't believe that he is leaving. We are all pretty stressed about it, especially mom. And since it isn't 100% sure yet we are kinda on this rollercoaster.... should be sad yet.... kind of thing.

Anyway, I have a couple of videos I will post very soon and some pics too. Until then though I will leave you all with the scripture of the day today:

And you shall declare it with a loud voice, saying: Hosanna, blessed be the name of the most high God.

Every morning while the girls take their morning nap I like to read a random chapter out of the Book of Mormon or Doctrine and Covenants. It helps me set the tone for the day, ya know. And yesterday I thought I would start posting a scripture of the day on here. This way I would be sure not to skip a morning of scripture reading. Kinda holds me accountable so to speak.

I cant believe its already November. This time last year I got pregnant. Seems to have gone by very fast. It still blows my mind that I have three children. They are just such a joy, even with they aren't being.... lets say, joyful. haha

Believe it or not Jared still hasn't been able to get a job with the government or a contractor out here. So looks like Im doomed to be a summer sales wife yet again this coming year. Joy of joys. Not sure how we will be working that out.... Im still praying for a miracle, though my expectations are much lower than they were a year ago.

**Attention all parents of younger children** I apologize in advance. Jared and I have decided NOT to do the Santa Clause bit with our kiddos. Jared doesn't feel right about "lying" to the girls. But I feel like too much of an emphasize is on Santa (this fictional character who is WAY over commercialized) and not enough on Christ- the entire reason for the celebration. I know I just got a ton of gasps from parents all over the world-"I can't believe she's not doing Santa Clause! Those poor kids!" Well hopefully this will rest your weary minds and hearts. We are still doing the presents... Still doing the tree... still doing stockings and candy and songs ect, ect, ect. On Christmas morning there will be presents laid out for my sweet girls. The ONLY difference is it will say "From: Mom and Dad" and not "From: Santa." This way we can focus our attention and energy on stories of Christ and service to other families. And keep our energy away from writing a note to Santa Clause begging and pleading for all of the useless toys they want, explaining how good they've been all year just for a toy. They need to be good because it makes Jesus happy, not Santa.
So anyway, if that explaination doesn't set your hearts and minds at ease then.... tough. HA! They're our kids and this is how we choose to raise them. **Anyway, back to my apology. I will try my very best to explain to the kids that other families play games with their kids about Santa Clause and we mustn't ruin the game for them by telling the secret. I will do EVERYTHING in my power from keeping one of my kids for ruining Christmas for one of yours. HOWEVER, it will inevitably happen and for that, I apologize sincerely in advance.
(*Please don't keep your kids from playing with my kids because your afraid they will let the cat out of the bag*) I mean seriously, I didn't get to believe in Santa very long and I turned out ok. My sis is 4 years older than me so she let me in on the "secret" pretty early on.

Anyway, Im sure MANY of you wonderful moms still disagree with me completely. But again... tough. TeeHeeHee I hope you still love me anyway!

Happy Halloween!!

We took the girls trick-or-treating last night down our block, really just to introduce ourselves and show off our gorgeous triplet girls! haha They were skeletons and if I may say so myself the cutest dang skeletons EVER! Here are some photos:

Above: these are the pjs the Toone grandparents got the girls. We called them their prison outfits haha because of the strips but they were so cute and comfy. The girls loved them! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! *Dont mind Mia (in the middle) throwing a fit there.... she was upset. haha

Here's Mia the skeleton with her trick-or-treat bag.
And Charlotte.
And finally Abigail!
And another of the PJs.

This is a video of right before we went trick-or-treating. Please ignore my annoying giggling. I was just so freakin excited! haha

Oh dear

So we took a little adventure yesterday to the Madison Mall. I wanted to get the girls' ear pierced. We loaded in the car after their 300 feeding and heading out. We went to Claire's and I picked out the earrings I wanted. I grabbed Mia and sat down in the chair with her and the lady said her ear lobes were too small! haha What? I looked at them and sure enough they were barely even there. haha So we loaded back up in the car and came home. So I guess we will discuss it in a few months but we might decide to wait until they are a few years old to do it. We shall see.

I regret my decision to stop pumping. Oh what a stupid decision. If I could go back I would..... I think. My girls are SO constipated its miserable for them. I am giving them some apple juice every other day to help out but that gives them cramps and gas. They spit up the formula so much more now that there isn't any breast milk in it. Yes, I regret it. agh so much. Every time they scream from being constipated I just want to cry.....

All three:

I'd have to say my girls are pretty darn cute. I am loving every second they are in my life. Jared moved back into our bedroom so that's great news. We moved the monitors into our room so I actually get less sleep these days but its worth it to have Jared not have to sleep on the couch. The girls are still doing great: sleeping through the night and taking naps during the day. When they are up they smile and play. Its so adorable. Now don't get me wrong Abigail can scream and cry until you feel every hair on your body has gone gray. HA! But they are all so freaking CUTE!

Sad day...

So I weaned off pumping this week. It was surprisingly sad for me to give it up. Everyone has been telling me "Wow, Im so impressed you did that for triplets for three whole months." And I am proud of myself for sticking it out that long. Pumping for 20-30 minutes every 2-3 hours (even at night) was very time consuming and hard on my body. I was always starving and always had to carry a pump around with me if I planned on going anywhere. I have a car adapter so that I could pump in the car for long road trips. But when I finally made the decision to stop, I actually was very sad. I didn't think I would be because I wasn't technically breastfeeding. But I still felt that lump in my throat. It was like I had the food for my girls and I was denying them that. I know it sounds silly and I didn't get depressed over it. I just went through withdraws I guess. I was just exhausted you know? And they are starting to eat 5 1/2 ounces each time and i was only making enough milk for 3 of those ounces.

I feel bad because I know I could have gone longer and I choose not too. Jared really wanted me to stop and so did my parents. I think they saw how much time and energy I was using up. In the end I felt like the girls had the best food for three whole months and I am satisfied with that. I feel like Im rambling haha.....Bottom line: I was very surprised by how the sadness hit me when I stopped pumping.

I just had to write really quickly about how AWESOME the girls are doing!!!! We decided to ditch the 1130 pm feeding and just see how long the girls would sleep. We used to feed them at 1130 pm and then they would wake up around 430-500am for their next feeding. So I was SURE they would be up at 200am or something crazy wanting a bottle. NOPE!! haha We fed them at 900 pm and they slept till 630 am!!!! W-H-A-T!!??
I was worried it would be a fluke but for the last 3 nights they have been fed between 900-1000pm and slept till 600-630am. I am so happy! Jared is still sleeping on the couch though to listen for them at night so that is our next goal. To get Jared back in bed with me! Im not sure if the monitors reach that far into our room so we might have to get creative. But Im so excited the girls are doing so well! And they sleep more restful during the day as well since they get such a great nights sleep. Everything is going so great.
I am so in love with these girls. They are laughing and giggling all the time (so I guess we are doing this parenting thing pretty good!). haha its very exciting! Ok I gotta go.... someone is ready for a bottle.

Here is Alabama's education system at work my friends:

HA! I was at Wal-Mart and they had about 6 carts lined up side by side and every single one of them had this sign on it. BAHAHA! I laughed so hard and thought.... Yep! Thats the public school system hard at work. Thought I'd share it...

Love x 3

So I have a little time this morning (very rare) and I wanted to mention all the wonderful things going on with the girls lately! Im such a proud momma!

Rolled over yesterday!!..... and I missed it. I was pumping in my bedroom but mom told me all about it. She laid Mia down on her tummy and had to tend to another baby that was fussing and then Mia started crying. When she went over to check on her Mia was on her back! Apparently she scared herself by rolling over so she starting crying pretty hard. haha My first baby to roll over! And at 10 weeks old!! Gooooo Mia!
Mia is definitely the baby (youngest) of the group. She loves attention and loves someone to always be holding her. She still makes the cutest dolphin noises but sadly not as often. She is usually the first one to want her bottle and the first one to finish her bottle. ha
She is smiling and really alert lately. It just melts your heart to see her smile up at you. Also, she has a cowlick on the top of her head. haha a good way to tell her and Abigail apart since Abby doesn't have one.

Oh Abigail.... haha my drama girl Im afraid. She is usually my fussiest baby. When she gets on a rampage, watch out! It takes a lot to get her to calm down and usually ends up with you holding her for the rest of the time until its time for a bottle. She is so funny when she is awake though. She loves to stare at the ceiling fan or chandelier and she can get so tickled. haha She seems to be one extreme or the other (really content and happy or really mad and fussy). She may look just like Mia but by now I can tell them apart in personality. She has a freckle on her forehead which seems to be one of the only physical ways to tell her and Mia apart.

My sweet Charlotte. She is by far my easiest baby. She is so laid back. She sleeps so well and usually has to be woke up to eat. She is the slowest in finishing her bottle too, even though she has the faster nipple and is the bigger baby. HA! She loves to snuggle though. Oh my word.... she is such a snuggle bug and you just WANT to hold her all the time. She really favors her sisters but is definitely different. She doesn't require much work at all and has NEVER had a real fit throwin. She is alert much more than the other two and for much longer (probably because she doesn't wear herself out from screaming all day). She loves her play gym and staring at things. She is cooing and you can see her trying to form her mouth to mimic you talking to her.

They all love tummy time and raising their heads up high. They are all smiling and laughing at this point too. They love to stretch and get massages. They love to hear this huge industrial fan we have in their room while they sleep. They also have music playing most of the time too. They go through about 10 diapers a day a piece and are drinking 4 ounces (70 mL breastmilk and 50 mL formula) every 3 1/2 hours. We are still trying to get them to sleep longer at night time though. Their last feeding is at 1030 pm and they are awake usually around 4 am screaming to eat again. They have been sleeping in their own separate cribs but we put them together in one crib for a few minutes yesterday while they were still awake and they just loved it. They touched each others face and were just so content to be close to one another. I still look around the room at feeding time when their is one adult per child and think "wow, this is insane!" hahaha Its so exhausting and can be such an emotional drain but I WOULD NOT TRADE THIS FOR A SINGLE THING IN THIS WORLD! I could not love these girls any more than I do or I would just burst.

Pictures to come later...

I'm so tired....What day is it?

My days walk (not run) together. They cry.... so much. Here are the pictures. Enjoy.

This is a photo of the doctor that delivered the girls. Doctor Callison at Women's Pavillion in Huntsville. She's awesome and probably saved all our lives as I would not have consented to have the girls come as early as they did if it weren't for her. I trust her completely and just adore her.
Our LITTLE family.... ha

GIrls Girls Girls

We are blessing the girls at church today. Its very exciting and Jared is super pumped about it. Its not everyday you bless three babies at once! haha I cant believe they will be 9 weeks old on Tuesday.

We've already had to separate them in their cribs. They are each in their own because the twins (we call Abigail and Mia twins since they are identical and mainly act JUST alike) scream so loud they wake each other and poor sweet Charlotte up all the time. So the doctor suggested separating them. I dont think its made too much of a difference. They are still in the same room so they still wake each other up. I dont know...

I am so sleepy. These girls are not sleeping. I have been trying the Baby Wise scheduling thing and its not working. I am feeding them every three hours still and trying to let them wake up to eat after the 11 pm feeding.... no luck. They wake up at 330 ready for more food. The book says they should sleep till 5 or 6. HA! Thats what I say about that! I took the girls to the pediatrician because they will just SCREAM at night for HOURS so I thought they might be sick or something. NOPE. He said "Sorry, they are just fussy girls." Nice....

Its just seems sad to me that they are either sleeping or screaming. Its just so much hard work right now, its not very "fun." Does that make sense? I love doing what Im doing but its not fun yet. Anyway, I dont feel like Im making sense... being as tired as I am. haha

On a non baby note.... I cant believe summer is gone already. Im totally bummed about it too. I hate the winter (I didnt always hate it but Utah will do that to you). On the flip side football season started so that always helps cushion the sadness. Not that Texas will have a quarterback worth a darn AGAIN this year! Just another McCoy... Agh....

I will post pics of the girls blessing later.

I want sleep.

The Real Due Date

Daddy sleeping with sweet Mia!

Well its August 20th... Today is the girls' official due date. haha they are almost 7 weeks old and TODAY is the day they were supposed to make their first appearance. (On my sister's birthday too! Happy Birthday Ran!) Its just a miracle that we have the technology and medicine today that was able to keep my babies alive and healthy. Im so grateful!

Well obviously I have very little time (and motivation) to blog every day or even every week like I used to. Im sorry about that. These girls keep us all very busy and any "down time" is used up for sleeping. But it is just the greatest time of our lives! I am loving every single drop. I changed up the girls' feeding/sleeping schedule a week ago. The NICU had them on every 4 hour feedings but that didn't seem like enough to me so I moved them to every 3 hours and have been following the Baby Wise schedule religiously. It was pretty brutal at first. (I pump every 2 hours and then they eat every 3 so it is pretty rigorous.) But for the last two nights they have actually slept from 11pm until 5am!! A miracle. Now they do need to be picked up every once in a while during that time but its always gas. Poor girls have THE WORST gas and its so sad. They are in so much pain with it. Anyway, we were very excited to see the fruits of our labors pay off and see the girls get 6 whole hours of sleep at once. Its awesome!

They are just plumping up too. So cute. They are just filing out and looking adorable. Ive been getting them on video and Jared takes pictures on his camera so we are documenting every single step of this. My sister and niece came and stayed for almost 2 weeks and now my grandparents are here for two weeks. It has been a life savor having help come in. Jared and I are able to get some sleep during the night (never together though because we are on different shifts. Jared goes from 11-330am and I go from 330 until the rest of the day really. Jared works all day though) Very soon though these girls will be sleeping through the night and wont need someone up to keep watch over them constantly. And the "shift" just means someone is sleeping in the living room (because the girls' nursery is in the formal dining room) listening for them while the other person can sleep in the bedroom without any interruptions. It is a great system really.

Next week is our 4 year anniversary!! Mom, dad and the grandparents have VOLUNTEERED to watch the girls so that Jared and I can stay the WHOLE night in Nashville. We are going to the Grand Ol Opry and the temple on Friday and I plan to SLEEP IN on Saturday. I am so excited! Jared and I are just so blessed with wonderful family. It helps that the girls are so freakin adorable though too! haha

**Cute things going on with the girls** They are awake so much more now and open their big gorgeous eyes at us. They will just look and stare at you. Its amazing. They smile at us and really seem to interact much more. They make the cutest noises. Seriously, they grunt ALL the time its so funny! I will get Jared to record it so we can post that. The twins make this dolphin noise that just cracks us up. Charlotte doesnt do it, but she burps like a man. HA! They are the best sleeping buddies as you can see from the picture of Jared. Its the greatest moment having your baby on your chest sleeping in perfect peace. Jared and I are so happy and SO in love with our girls. Its going by WAY too fast....

Time Flies....

My oldest child (by about 15 seconds) Charlotte...
My middle child Abigail
My youngest child Mia
All three of my girls sleeping so peacefully.... Couldn't you just EAT THEM UP!!!! haha

I am already a mom to one month old triplet girls! My goodness! I can't believe its already been a month. I am loving every single second of my girls. I just breath them in. It's going by so fast, it almost makes me sad to see them grow so fast.

We went to the doctor on Thursday for another weight check. Charlotte is 6 lbs 7 ounces and the twins are both 5 pounds 6 ounces. So big.... They are on a consistent schedule of every 4 hour feedings and they are doing really well with it. About 30 minutes before they eat they start stirring and grunting wanting their food. haha its so cute. They grunt all the time. I just laugh, its the cutest thing ever. I pump every 2 hours still and its pretty time consuming. But totally worth it. They are each getting 80% breast milk and only 20% formula (i dont make enough for everyone to have just breastmilk.) Im just grateful they are getting as much as they are. It took a long time for my milk to come in and the nurses weren't very encouraging that I would make enough for it to be worth the time to pump every two hours. But I stayed diligent with it and SO glad I did.
We've only had one night so far where the girls were just inconsolable for hours. They had serious gas problems and Mylacon just made it 10X worse. They were all screaming for about 3-4 hours straight. It broke my heart that I couldn't do anything for them except hold them and just try to soothe them. So sad. Other than that though, they sleep really well in between feedings. We have a pretty good system going with nighttime feedings. We have the girls sleeping in the living room in their cribs. So at night Jared, my mom and myself take turns sleeping on the couch for a few hours at a time. We just rotate shifts so we can have uninterrupted sleep for a few hours at least. Makes a huge difference. When the girls first came home from the hospital we let them sleep in our bedroom but we would wake up with every groan and grunt. So we decided to keep them in their cribs so we could get a good nap at least. *I could not survive without the amazing help of my mom and dad. They take over and let Jared and me get some sleep and it just could NOT be done without them*

My sister is flying in today with my niece to stay for about a week and a half. We are so excited too! First time seeing the girls for her. Then it will be my mamaw peg and papa skip. We have company coming for the next 2 months to help us with the girls. We are having family pictures taken on Wednesday and I am so excited to see how they turn out. It will be so nice to have amazing pictures of my girls! Jared and I are exhausted but I am blissfully exhausted. I love my girls and just want to be close to them all the time. They are just little angels and I am so blessed to get to be their mom. My life is so good.

Extra!! Extra!!

My girls are coming home tomorrow!! Mia and Abigail are finally coming home to their momma and daddy! We could NOT be more excited! Abigail now weighs 4 pounds 7 ounces and Mia is now 4 pounds 6 ounces. So she finally caught up to her sister. hehe
Charlotte was 5 pounds 7 ounces at her doctor's visit last week and she is growing like a weed. We haven't gotten a ton of sleep the last few days with her being home but we have loved ever minute of it. I am not dreading having all three of my girls keeping me up at night. I am just so grateful they are all healthy enough to be at home OUT of the hospital. We are so blessed. Tomorrow is their three week birthday mark too. Three weeks ago I begged the doctor to leave my girls alone but she didn't. But everyone is healthy and growing. It's a miracle the medicine and technology we have today.
Our family will be together again tomorrow..... it will be a great day.

One down!

Just a quick little note! Our sweet Charlotte is home! She was able to come home with us today and it is just so wonderful. Definitely bitter sweet though, leaving two of my children at the hospital with one in the car. Its really strange having a baby here to take care of all the time but I love it. Im already exhausted with pumping every two hours.... but what a sweet time of our lives. We are so blessed. Thank you all for the prayers for the twins still in the NICU. The doctor has high hopes they will be able to come home sometime next week. So we are preparing diligently. Life is good!

Good things are happening

Yesterday Charlotte was able to move into a crib!! So now she has to do well for the next 24-48 hours and then can come home! I can actually have one of my girls home in the next couple of days! I am so excited. The twins are doing well but are they will spit up their feeding every once in a while so they haven't let them "progress" in a couple of days. We got to get that spitting up under control. Well I say spitting up but they pretty much vomit the majority of the milk right up. But they are still gaining weight so that is good news and means we just need to slow down with them and let them adjust. We still think next week they could come home.

I forgot to mention how MY doctor's check up went. My incision is healing up really well. No infection or anything like that. My blood pressure is down to 130 over 70 so thats really good news. (Im not a ticking bomb anymore). Im only taking about 2-4 of my prescription IB profen now. Im totally off the "hard stuff." Im still sore but not really in pain anymore. And the coolest news: I lost 40 of the 45 pounds I gained during pregnancy! I was pretty darn excited.

Thats it for now. I will keep yall posted on the latest!!

Just a quick update on my girls:

Jared and I are at the hospital every single day with the girls. We usually go between 3-6 and get to feed them, change them and take their temperatures. It is torture only being there a few hours every day and only getting to handle them for a little bit.

We are making great progress though. Babies always loose weight a few days after birth. My girls are all now back up to their birth weight and little Abigail is even two ounces over her birth weight. Abigail and Mia are getting bottles every third feeding and working their way up. They are spitting up the bottle every now and then so thats why they aren't taking more bottles right now. But they are still gaining weight really well so they are still on track as of now. Charlotte, on the other hand, is doing great with the bottles so the doctor told us today that they are going to give her ALL bottles and see how she does with it. Which is GREAT news. Once she can take all bottles they will move her to a crib for 48 hours to make sure she can control her body temperature and then she can come home!! We think she will be able to come home by the end of the week!!! The doctor said the other two should be ready next week! This is such great news for us and we are so excited to finally get our girls home.

I was able to try to breast feed Charlotte yesterday and she was such a pro at it. She was doing really well with it for a good 20-25 minutes and then got tired so we gave her a bottle for the rest of her feeding. But it was so awesome to be able to do that with her and see how much she is progressing. We tried again today and she wasn't as successful but its because she was SO hungry that she didn't want to do it the "hard" way. haha she wanted her easy, fast bottle. I don't blame her. So we will try again tomorrow. Anyway, just a quick update for you. We are so ready for them to come home. Next week could NOT come fast enough for this momma and daddy.

Bath Time!!

They let us give the girls baths today. I love bath time. Its so great. Some of you were wanting pictures with something else in the picture to scale how small the girls are. Well here they are....

Here is Mia! My gorgeous Mia Rebecca! So adorable....
Mia naked! hehe Look how her small hand wrapped around her grandpa's. Awe...
Miss Charlotte Cynthia. She is completely off her oxygen and is doing so well. She's eating more than her sister's are at this point and can really suck her pacie so I have high hopes for her on the breast.
Look how small Charlotte is compared to her daddy's arm.... and shes my BIG girl. When we gave the girl's their baths last time, Abigail went first and she cried and cried the first few minutes. So I came up with the idea to put our arms on either side of them to cradle/support them and have some skin to skin contact. She loved it and didn't cry anymore. So we tried it on the other girls and they love it! No more tears.
Charlotte getting a diaper change.
Charlotte smiling cause her momma is getting her sugar, the picture just doesn't show me doing it... I cant get enough of them.
Charlotte and her daddy.
Little Abigail getting scrubbed down.
Daddy washing Abigail's hair. You can see she's about the length of my forearm.
Abigail's little feet. She has the cutest chicken legs! haha
Abigail loves to touch her face. She can wiggle out of any swaddle so she can have her hands next to her face. I love it!
She was looking up at momma. I was singing to her to keep her calm.
