Big or Bigger?

Jared and I are in the process of car shopping... for the future. Last time we made a car purchase I ended up regretting it completely. I think it was because I was TRYING to be spontaneous, which I am NO good at. And thats really not an area in life where you should be spontaneous. Anyway....
the car would be for me to drive so I've picked out my favorites (that we can afford haha) Im torn between a new jeep cherokee....and a honda pilot.
I LOVE my jeep cherokee. It is the best car. Perfect amount of room, its so cute and hasnt (knock on wood) broke down on me yet. She is 10 years old, 160K+ miles and still kickin. Plenty of life in her but Im ready for a change.
Then theres the honda pilot. Its something different than what Ive driven, so it might be nice for a change. Its a really good lookin SUV. But the MAIN difference between it and the jeep could be a plus or minus. I cant decide. It has 3rd row seating. Now, right now I have plenty of room in the jeep. BUT we are trying to have a baby so will I really want the extra room that much? I dont want to drive around a bus all day but I dont want to be cramped either.....
HELP! Does anyone have any suggestions? Or heard anything good/bad about either one? If you cant comment on my blog, message me on FB. I need advice.

Virginia Beach

This weekend Jared and I were able to go to the VA beach with the office. It was alot of fun and VERY hot! We both got sunburned. I was a little nervous to go because of the hurricanes up here and it was supposed to rain this weekend, but it didnt. Very bright and sunny the whole time except on the drive up there and the last hour we were there it was sprinkling. It was a long drive (4 hours) but we had Chris with us so it was fun. We both love spending time with our BRETHERE..... hehe (indian accent needed).
We got there really early that morning cause we left at 530. But it was still cool and early and not crowded. My favorite time to be at the beach. Chris and I even saw a pod of dolphins ( i think its pod....) Lots of surfers and sun bathers. Then we played in the water and hung out for a while until we got hungry. We took a break from the heat and was back in it by around 4. Went back to the beach and left around 730. Then we had a really late dinner at a mexican restuarant around 9. And went straight to bed. We were exhausted.
Sunday morning most of the group went to church, Jared and I however didnt bring sunday clothes so slept in and met up with everyone at the beach around 11 or so. We played there until about 4 when this huge storm came rolling in with thunder and lightening so the life guards made everyone get out of the ocean. Jared and I had dinner on the patio of a restaurant hoping for a good storm but never came.... Then we drove home and didnt make it tilll around 9.
Long trip, but fun. I made a decision that i HATE traveling in groups though. It is always so unorganized and NO ONE can make a decision... My last time to do that. Jared and I are both sun burnt and I jammed my toe but it was fun to swim in the ocean with my hunny. Good times.

3 years down.... Eternity to go!

WOW! I cant believe Jared and I have been married for 3 years! I can say 100% certain I love him more today than I did when I married him. That has to be on the right track right? When you go through struggles and trials with someone, you grow together that much stronger. Its amazing how marriage works. Its definintely the hardest challenge we are given on this earth, but certainly my favorite!
Well for our anniversary, I let Jared plan the whole thing. It's been a struggle for him to actually plan a romantic evening and he wanted this challenge, so I let him take control of it. And he didnt disappoint! First of all, he cleared it with my boss for him and I to have the whole day off. So i got to sleep in!! SO nice! Then during breakfast he gave me 3 white cali lillies (they were one of our wedding flowers). They were beautiful! And also the sweetest card. It has a picture of these two little kids kissing on the front and inside the card it says "Turns out the millionth kiss is the best" and he wrote a sweet note to me. AWE! We then made a list of the top 5 cars we both really want and then went to the car dealers and checked em out. It was really fun (except the salesmen of course). We even test drove one. It was alot of fun and gave us a better idea of what we want since we are planning on getting me a new one soon.
Then we got frozen custard at the BEST place ever, Neilsons. SO YUMMY! and then we got lunch (Dessert before lunch, he did good huh?) Then he took me to the movies to see Julie and Julia, he knew i really wanted to see it. It was really cute too! Made me really want to go to cooking school again.
Then we had time for a nap, which was nice. We got all dressed up and ate dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. It is an amazing place if you want the best beef in the USA. Pricey though. Well we splurged (when in Rome right?) We got a Porterhouse Steak for 2 (40 oz of beef) HAHAHA and potatos A Gratin, and asparagus with hollindaise sauce. So goooooood! The meat melted in your mouth, you could cut it with a fork. Perfect! And for dessert, we got 2 so we could share! haha and they were HUGE! We got cheesecake and carmelized bannana cream pie. The cheesecake was the best. Mainly cause I think my mamaw peg makes the best pies ever! No one can touch em. But still very good effort. We were pleasanty stuffed after all that. It was just a wonderful day.
I have such an amazing husband. He is so devoted to me and the gospel. He works tremendously hard to provide for our little family and has the biggest sweetest heart. Im so blessed to have him in my life forever and I cant want to have a family with him. I love you baby! Thank you for making yesterday so special! Heres to a million more!

Extreme Venting Ahead....

Warning: ***Excessive whining and venting in this post****
Well its final. Jared has signed up to do summer sales..... again.... next summer.....again.....
I really really dont understand why I am still being tagged along in this mess. For those of you who know me well, you know I absolutely hate summer sales. HATE.... I honestly truly thought this was our last summer. WHY you may ask? Because we are trying to have a baby and I thought that would push him into wanting a 9-5 year round type of job. NOPE.
You know, I went out knocking with him this summer for a day. Just to see what it was like. It sucks. Forget the freakin hot weather. Its boring as heck. I was so bored just going from one door to another to another.... I cant understand for the life of me the appeal to this kind of job. At least with an office job you get A/C right?
He decided to back to Source, where it all started. Doesnt matter to me, theyre all the same. Houston Texas this time though. Ive been married three years and have lived in Idaho, Utah, Illinois, Virginia and Texas.... Sick. Summers and weekends used to be wonderful times in my life... Family Vacations, warm weather, friends, BBQs, happiness.... not since Ive been married. I dread them. Because Im alone on a couch. Dont get me wrong, Im incredibly grateful to have a husband whose willing to work so hard for me and provide for me. I just really wish he was over this sales mess. But Ive learned an important lesson this go round. Wishing gets you nowhere.... except summer sales in my case.

Extra! Extra!

I am officially announcing to you all that Jared and I are finally ready to start trying to have a baby. August is the month baby! hehe Hopefully I will be pregnant by December, that's our goal. Its very exciting. Im still very very very very nervous about everything, but its time. We are so ready to have a baby. Everyone keep us in your prayers that things go smoothly.
I spent over a week in Alabama with my family and it was awesome! My sister drove up from Texas with the kiddos so I got to see them. I cant believe how big they are getting. Its crazy how fast time goes. We did so much stuff with the kids and I just had a blast. I ended up driving back to Virginia instead of flying because we had left our jeep wrangler at my parents house and jared now needs that car for summer sales. It is a stick shift and so my dad had to teach me how to drive it. I was really nervous driving home, especially the last 30 mins when I was in the city but Heavenly Father heard mine and my family's prayers and got me home safely. It was a miracle.
Chris, Jared's brother, decided to come sell with us for the rest of the summer. We are so excited! We adore Chris and it will certainly help the last leg of the summer go better and faster. We still arent sure about next summer yet. Jared is still weighing his options and trying to pick the best one for us. Well that catches you all up on us for now. I will keep you all posted!! hehe get it? posts on blogs..... (bad joke, sorry)

Not so much

Well honestly I got really bored of this blog. Mainly because I hardly have no pics on here. I like pictures. For Jared's birthday we took some pictures but I packed up the cord that downloads them to the computer with our other stuff in alabama. haha so i cant even send them. So that stinks.
Nothing really exciting has happened; Jareds birthday, Fourth of July.... Still working in the office and he is still selling his little heart out. We are doing well so far, getting out of debt. Almost there too! We are still trying to decide what to do after the summer is over. We have been talking about it for a long time and just need to make a decision. Its coming though. Whenever we officially decide what we're doing, we will hopefully start trying to get pregnant. So, very soon...
Im going to my parents house in alabama on Friday for a whole week and Im so excited! My sister is driving in with the kiddos and i havent seen them since christmas. It will be my one break this summer, but well worth it! Poor Jared though, doesnt get a break. Or wont take one haha... I love that man.
Anyway, thats all thats going on with us right now. I'll write again soon.....

What a difference a day makes....

This past week has been crazy for celebrity deaths. Farrah Faucet, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays and there was someone else too... I forgot.
Here's the thing though, didnt we NOT like Michael Jackson? Wasnt he a child pervert just the other day and this freak show who dangled his infant child out of a 4 story window and walk around with a pillow case over his head? Now I know he had a really awful childhood.... but I was under the impression that since the early 90s Michael Jackson was no longer the King of Pop but rather the Freak of Neverland (AKA the "magic kingdom" where he MOLESTED children....)
And now everyone is sad cause he's gone? Im sorry, I dont feel sad. He did horrible things that he was never held accountable for and Im not gonna pretend that the world is a better place for him being in it.
Anyway, just needed to point out the obvious flip the media did after he died that no one seems to have noticed. Im over it now.

Fun-erise

One of my very best friends from back when I was in school, Lindi, gave me some excellent advice. She told me to make my apartment a dance studio basically. Its great exercise and its FUN! haha She knows how much I love to dance around and act a fool and I got to tell ya, it was awesome! I was sweating like a pig and dancing around like I was on Dancing with the Stars. I waltzed to "Whats new Pussy Cat"-Tom Jones haha and jived to Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock." And I bumped and grinded to Britney Spears (thats right karlee) and two-stepped to CCR-"Have you seen the rain." (thought about my momma listening to CCR) haha Thank goodness for Pandora Radio. I looked retarded but I had a blast. I was singing and twirling (I got REALLY dizzy......anyway) like crazy. I highly recommend it to anyone sick and tired of running on a stupid treadmill.
When I was living at home, I would crank up my radio and sing like I was on a stage in a New York Broadway show staring ME! And my dad would come in after about 30 mins of my "hollerin" and say "Boot, you ok back here? I just had to check on you!" hahahaha I hated when he did that. He thought it was so funny but I was seriously singing my heart out. Well now I can dance around my entire apartment AND sing like a fool.... even though he's not here to check on me, I still think about him doing that and it makes me laugh! I love my daddy....... it hurts how much I miss him.
Anyway, thanks Lindi! It is a great idea and im gonna keep it up!

American By Birth, Texan by the Grace of God.

There are two truths about Texas pride:
1. If you've ever been to Texas or met a Texan, you have felt it.
2. If you were raised Texan, it is as a part of you as being a woman or a man.
I love and miss that pride so much. I love this story. I do not exaggerate the palpable feeling that is Texas pride. As a Texan, even if I never live there again, it will ALWAYS be my HOME. Why? Cause home is where your heart is....
ENJOY!

PHONES IN CHURCH

A man in Topeka ,Kansas decided to write a book about churches around
the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working
east from there.

Going to a very large church, he began taking  photographs and making
notes.

He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued
with a sign, which read "Calls: $10,000  a minute."

Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign.   The
pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to
heaven and if he
Pays the price he can talk directly to GOD.

The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to
visit churches in Seattle , Phoenix , Salt Lake City , Denver , Oklahoma
City, and  around the United States , he found more phones, with the
same sign, and  the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in Texas , upon entering a church in Dallas , Texas
, behold - he saw the usual golden telephone.   But THIS time, the sign
read "Calls: 35 cents."

Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in
cities all across the country and in each church I have found this
golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and
that I could talk to GOD, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000
a minute.  Your sign reads only 35 cents a call.

Why?"

    I love this part...............

The pastor, smiling benignly, replied, "Son, you're in  Texas now ...
This is God's Country, It's a local call."

American by Birth - A Texan by the Grace of God!!!! YIPPEE!!!
It's been a while since I last wrote but I just didnt have anything to write about really. I wish I had more pictures to go with each of my posts. They are so fun to look at. But I have nothing really to take pictures of....
Anyway, just an update. I have lost 5 pounds since I left Utah. Thats great so far but still have 15 more  to go. Today at breakfast Jared said to me "I want a baby!" haha It was so adorable and pitiful at the same time. I feel the same way as Jared does (except of course a little less excited seeing as how I will be the one to push it out and not him) but I just can not imagine being pregnant as heavy as I am.
I read the entire week by week pregnancy book and it talks about all this horrible things that can happen if you are heavy in weight or not healthy. I have no idea how my thyroid will react to me being pregnant but i do know I will have to worry about it all the time and keep it monitored. I just dont want my weight to be an issue to ya know? Im so nervous about being pregnant and giving birth that if I can just loose some more weight it might help.
Then again, it might now. Help! I need advice, support something! Am I making too much outta nothing? I dont feel like Im stalling but it prolly appears that way. I just want to take every precaution I can so that my pregnancy will be as smooth as possible. You girls can understand that right?
