Bubba

I said I wouldn't write anything personal on here about my nephew. However, this article just came out today and I had to post it. Its about a 12 year old boy (Nathan was 8) who experienced the same final moments as Nathan did. He died of the same thing my bubba did.

Im posting this to cause awareness. Please don't let the doctors "bully" you. You know as a parent when something is wrong with your child. 

Had Nathan survived, he would have needed a liver transplant and would have had to have his leg amputated. He was transferred to 3 different hospitals within 24 hours and no one had answers until he ended up at Children's Medical in Dallas. By then, it was too late... NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Found these cute skirts randomly at WalMart for five bucks! So I had to get them for my girls.

Jared's birthday

I did NOT feel festive at all for all the birthdays coming up. I had more things that I originally planned but this was all I could manage. We went to the Bounce House with the girls in the morning and they of course LOVED IT. Jared went to the temple during the girls' nap and we had cake when they woke up. I blew up 30 balloons and wrote an accomplishment or goal that Jared has on each one. It was supposed to be this beautiful floating bouquet... but I forgot that balloons only float with helium. All well... Still cool idea. My friend Karlee very generously offered to sit with the girls while Jared and I went to a movie for his birthday. Its been like over a year since we've done that. It was nice. We saw The Avengers and we both loved it. It has been out for so long that there wasn't hardly anyone in the theater so it was extra nice. I don't like crowded distgusting places. We didn't get home till about midnight, which is insane late for me. But I think he had a good day.  

Yeah so my cake was uneven.... but still was so YUMMY! Thats what matters right?

 We thought the smoke detector would go off... HA! But it didnt.

One rainy afternoon I got clever and made up a sheet tent just like my sister and I used to do when we were little. The girls loved it. Just something different was nice for them. We grabbed a bunch of books and these new stuffed animals Mimi got for them and had a great reading session. Lasted about an hour which is impressive for my girlies.

 Maybe they're ready for a drive-in movie? haha Watching Blue's Clues with glasses is totally the cool thing to do!

So I just uploaded 133 pictures and videos from my camera. Thats alot for me. I guess that means its time to start back up in the blog department.

I really don't know what to say about whats been going on. My family and close friends know my business and I think I'll leave it at that. This is a public blog and I don't feel its appropriate to blog about the absolute worst moment in my life to strangers who, let's face it, are here for baby updates.

With that being said, lets get to the updates.

Heart Broken

This has been the worst week of my entire life. Bar none. Im not going into details yet because Im still grieving pretty hard and I just cant stomach writing about it. My precious 8 year old nephew, Nathan, went home to his Heavenly Father very suddenly and tragically on Saturday. I cant seem to blog about anything else either right now.... so just bare with me while I try to get back into the swing of things.

Im just too heart broken right now...

*On a serious note, Mia really can count to ten (but skips 7 for some reason?) and knows her ABCs and a few colors. Child is a genius!
